| DECSRIPTION of the Bobtail Dog Breed |
| HEAD AND SKULL: |
| The head is proportioned to the size of its body. The skull is big and squared in shape. The stop is well defined, the snout is strong and squared, and its length is approximately half the size of the total length of the head. The truffle is big and black in color. |
| TEETH: |
| Strong, big and well placed teeth. Scissor like bite: the jaws are strong and they articulate in a perfect, regular and complete scissors. Meaning, that the upper incisive cover the lower one, in close contact. |
| EYES: |
| Well separated, dark or one eye of each color. Two blue eyes are admitted. The pigmented border of the eye will be preferred. |
| EARS: |
| Small and hanging placed next to the sides of the head. |
| NECK: |
| With a good length, strong and graciously arched. |
| FRONT EXTREMITIES: |
| The front ones are perfectly straight, the bones are strong and they hold the body in such a way that they hold it away from the ground. The elbows are stuck to the chest. When the dog is standing, the cross is lower than the hindquarters. |
| BODY: |
| Short and compact. Well arched ribs. |
| BACK EXTREMITIES: |
| The hindquarters are very robust, wide and slightly arched. The rear third is developed, it is rounded and muscular. The thighs are long and well formed. Its legs are angled and hocks well descendent. Seen from the back, the hocks should be perfectly straight and the feet shouldn't be turned, to the front or to the back. |

| WALK: |
| When the dog walks, the dog balances like a bear. When trotting, the extension is easy and the impulse given is potent, the members are moved in parallel plans to the body. Very elastic gallop. In motion, the dog can adopt a position of low head. |
| HAIR: |
| It is very abundant and of a rough texture. It is not straight, but hirsute and with no curls. The head and the skull are covered with hair. The ears are moderately covered, while the neck and the front extremities are totally covered. The hair is even more abundant of the rear third than on the rest of the body. You have to pay more attention to the quality, the texture and the abundance of hair rather than the mere length. |
| COLOR: |
| Any shade of gray or blue. The body and the rear third have a uniform color with or without white spots on the edges of the extremities. The white spots on the one colored should be rejected. The head, neck, the front extremities and the lower part of the belly should be white. |
| HEIGHT TO THE CROSS: |
| The minimum height in males is 60 cm and in females 56 cm. The ideal weight is around 30 kg. |
